DUNAV

The Danube River is the second-longest river in Europe, flowing through ten countries: Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova, and Ukraine. It is approximately 2,860 kilometers (1,777 miles) long.

The Danube River is an important source of water, transportation, and hydroelectric power for the countries it flows through. It also has a rich cultural and historical significance, with many cities and landmarks situated along its banks. Some of the notable cities located along the Danube include Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest and Belgrade.

In Serbia, the Danube River flows through the northern part of the country, forming the border with Croatia and Romania. The river is an important transportation route, supporting cargo and passenger ships, as well as recreational activities such as fishing, boating, and cruising. In Belgrade, the Danube is crossed by several bridges.

The Danube River also has significant ecological importance, with a diverse range of plant and animal species. It is home to several protected areas and nature reserves, such is the Djerdap Natural Park, which spans along the border between Serbia and Romania.
